The hotels are located next door to each other. Both have nice rooms equipped with microwaves, refrigerators, TVs and VCRs. The price at the North Rock Suites includes a full buffet breakfast, while the Wichita Inn offers only continental breakfast.
Driving between the hotels and Wichita State University
There are two essential ways to get from the hotels to the WSU campus:
1. Go to North Rock (the big street on which the hotels are located) and turn right (South). Very soon (0.5 mile?) you will see a highway overpass. This is KS 96. Enter the highway to the right (West). Take the second exit (to Oliver). Turn left (South) on Oliver. Follow Oliver till the intersection with 21st Street (the first major intersection). Turn right (West) to 21st. In less than half a mile you will see on the left the Eck Stadium entrance to WSU campus. Then follow the directions shown with green arrows on the campus map..
2. Go to North Rock (the big street on which the hotels are located) and turn right (South). Follow it till the first majopr intersection with the 29th street (you will see on the left a large Wal Mart store). Turn right (West) on 29th and follow it till it ends at a T-intersection with Oliver. Turn left (South) on Oliver. Follow Oliver till the intersection with 21st Street (the first major intersection). Turn right (West) to 21st. In less than half a mile you will see on the left the Eck Stadium entrance to WSU campus. Then follow the directions shown with green arrows on the campus map..
Transportation to the hotels and the conference site (WSU campus)
The hotels are located 18 miles from the Mid-Continent Airport in Wichita and 6 - 7 miles from WSU. We do not provide transportation to and from the airport. A taxi from the airport to the hotels will cost about $25.
For those participants who will not have a car, van shuttles will be provided for transportation between the hotels and the WSU.
The first vans will be available at 12:30pm at Wichita Inn and at 12:30pm at NorthRock Suites to bring the participants who do not have cars to the university. The complete schedules are available at the hotels and also in the information packages given at the registration.
Driving directions from the airport to the hotels (see the map below):
1. Start out going North on MID CONTINENT RD. 1.3 miles
2: Turn SLIGHT RIGHT. onto the US-54 East ramp towards WICHITA.
3. Go East for several miles until past the downtown you see the exit to I-135.
4. Take I-135 north to Salina
5. Follow I-135 till Exit to KS-96 East (watch out after exits to 13th and 21st streets).
6. Follow KS-96 East till exit to Rock Rd. (exit before that is to Woodlawn)
7. Turn left (North) to Rock Rd.
8. In less than a mile you will see on your left hotels North Rock Suites and Wichita Inn.

If you are coming from I-135 going South:
1. Take the exit to KS-96 East.
2. Take the exit to Rock Rd (the exit before it is to Woodlawn).
3. Tern left (North) to Rock Rd. In about a half of a mile you will see on your left North Rock Suites and Wichita Inn next door to each other.
If you are coming from I-35 going West:
1. Take the exit #53 to KS-96 North (towards Hutchinson).
2. After several exits take the exit to Rock Rd.
3. Tern right (North) to Rock Rd. In about a half of a mile you will see on your left North Rock Suites and Wichita Inn next door to each other.
